About Me
I played a lot of different sports in high school to include cheerleading. I would be nice to hear from anyone back home! Wow, what are all the fun things I remember back at good ole' Laupahoehoe High... Hanging out with my best friend Stephanie.. Cruzing around campus... now I look back and I remember the steps from the back of the school gym under the tree had the most breath-taking view of the ocean! The little things we never seem to enjoy except in our memories! Remember the teachers? Mr. Hayashida, Mr. Kramer, Ms Moikea.... Wow that was over 20 years ago... The bridge, that I hated to cross when all the guys were hanging out... Crazy wonderful memories.. The worst was running up 6 tons!! (I think it was called that--I might be wrong, can't remember)-- It was a direct up hill battle with cross-country... I hated that hill!!!! And Mr. Pike yelling at me to keep on trunking.. He tricked me into becoming a good runner. When we signed up he said we could just take it easy... Steph did, but I guess he turned me into a runner to compete.... I did pretty good in the island finals I came in the top 10--- He WAS suppose to buy everyone cheeseburgers on the bus! After graduating from high school in 1985 I joined the Air Force, and got to travel the world as a Military Flight Attendent. I traveled everywhere you could imagine... From Ice Land to Green Land, all through Europe (England, Germany, Holland, Rome,) The Middle East (Turkey, Saudi Arabia) streching over the Orient (Japan, Korea), passing through Poland, Panama, the pacific onto Guam. I became very cultured in the different countries I traveled to. I feel very blessed to have traveled to places that people have only dreamed of. I grew up in a small little place wasn't even as big as a town, called Papaaloa. The only thing it had was a family owned grocery store that I would walk to. Lived in the states for 11 years, then went back to Hilo for 5 years. I'm divorced, and have a 15 year old daughter. I moved to Henderson NV. in 2001. I currently work for the #1 High-Tech company in Las Vegas as the Executive Administrator. I work directly for the CEO and President supporting all business needs and taking care of our building facility to include about 250 employees. I also support various Executives within the Selling Source umbrella. I feel very fortunate working for a successful company and really great people. www.sellingsource.com . Nothing beats Hawaii though! I really miss home. Aside from working full time I finally graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a degree in Psychology. I'm starting on Graduate school at the end of August in the Marriage and Family Therapy program. It's 3 years long, but when I am done, I definitely plan on returning back to Hilo!
