About Me
I received my BA in Political Science from Oregon State University in 2000. After that I worked in Washington, D.C. as the Communications Director of the U.S. Student Association for two years. For the past two years, I have been an MA student in the American Studies department at the University of Hawaii. I also served as an assistant director in the athletic department's Sports Media Relations office, where I was the primary media contact for the men's volleyball team. I currently work for the World History Association on the UH campus. I am also in the beginning phases of researching my thesis which is going to focus specifically on the 1924 Filipino workers strike in Hanapepe and generally on labor unions, race and racism.
