About Me
I did not graduate from Hawaii Baptist Academy (because I relocated to California for residency my senior year to prepare for the UC system), but I did spend four interesting and memorable years at HBA. While a student at HBA, I did develop a reputation for light-hearted mischief and wish to forget certain less admirable moments. Through my high school experience, I have been blessed to have forged lifelong relationships and friendships. More importantly, the private school's educational rigor well prepared me for the challenges of both University of California - Berkeley undergrad and Columbia University graduate school.
In addition to HBA's strong academics and excellent educators, the school supports a variety of sports. The athletics group at HBA is top notch. As a member of Pac 5, HBA provided me with the rare opportunity to not only compete against paddler and runners of rival institutions, but also collaborate with teammates from other schools. I sprinted in track & field, specializing in the 400m and 200m, but it was outrigger paddling that enabled me to leverage the latter sport to dragon boating at UC Berkeley.
Currently, I reside in Silicon Valley after an interesting investment banking career in Wall Street. Presently, I am considering veterinary school, but I must complete additional pre-requisites before a complete career change.
I am committed to alumni support and I encourage HBA students to reach out to me with career advice or questions.
